Burnout

From One Trucker to Another
Burnout doesn't look like tired. It looks like not caring anymore. It looks like the job you used to love feeling like a sentence. If you're there, you're not weak. You're worn. There's a difference between quitting and refueling, and you need to know which one you actually need.
On the Road
Take the home time. Really take it — no side jobs, no obsessing about the truck. Sleep. Eat food that wasn't made in a microwave. Sit still with the people you love. Then come back.
Prayer
Lord, renew me. Give me back the joy I lost somewhere on this road. Amen.
Even the strongest engine needs to be shut down and serviced.
