Fatigue
"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep."
From One Trucker to Another
Fatigue is not a badge. It is a warning light on your body's dash. When your eyes are burning and your head is bobbing, you are already impaired. The FMCSA writes numbers on paper. Your body writes the real limits, and you're the only one who can read them.
On the Road
Learn your signals. Yawning, drifting, missing exits, forgetting the last mile. Those are red flags. Pull over. Twenty minutes with your eyes closed can save your life.
Prayer
Father, give me the honesty to admit when I'm done. Give me the rest I need to run tomorrow. Amen.
Take This With You Today
Tired driving is a decision. So is stopping.
