Taking Care of Your Health
"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body..."
From One Trucker to Another
This job will kill you if you let it. Sitting fourteen hours. Eating whatever's closest. Coffee for breakfast, energy drinks for lunch. Your body is not built for this — but you can beat it if you're intentional. Your family needs you around at seventy, not just at thirty.
On the Road
Walk around the truck three times at every stop. Keep water in the cab. Swap one bad meal a day for something that grew out of the ground. Get your DOT physical and take it seriously.
Prayer
Father, give me the discipline to care for this body. Let me finish this career healthy enough to enjoy what comes after. Amen.
Your body is your rig. Do your pre-trip.
