Anger and Road Rage

From One Trucker to Another
Somebody cut you off. Somebody sat in your blind spot. Somebody laid on the horn like you were the problem. You feel that heat rise in your chest. That heat has ended careers, ended marriages, ended lives. Do not let a stranger with a steering wheel decide your day.
On the Road
Take your foot off the pedal. Take a breath in for four, out for six. Say out loud, 'Not worth it.' Let them go. You will never see them again.
Prayer
Lord, take this anger out of my chest. Guard my hands on this wheel. Don't let a moment cost me a career. Amen.

You cannot control the four-wheeler. You can control the trucker.
