Knowing When to Shut Down
"And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat."
From One Trucker to Another
There is wisdom in stopping. Jesus told His own disciples to shut it down. If the Son of God rested His crew, you can rest yours. Knowing when to park the truck is a professional skill — maybe the most important one you have.
On the Road
Don't wait for perfect conditions. If you're unsafe, park it. If you're sick, park it. If the weather's wrong, park it. Explain later. Live longer.
Prayer
Lord, give me the courage to stop when I should. Give me peace with the decision when I do. Amen.
